Meet Our Staff

The Houlton Hodgdon SAD 29/70 Adult Education instructional staff met on February 5, 2009.  As part of that meeting, staff gathered for a photo.

Bernadette Farrar teaches Language Arts classes and serves as a morning open learning center instructor. She also serves as Assistant Director for the program.

Bill Fisher is the instructor for the Aroostook County Jail.  He also serves as an evening open learning center instructor.

Nason Graham is an evening open learning center instructor.

Freda Iwulski is an ESL tutor and basic math skills class instructor.

Stephanie Jacobs is an evening learning center instructor and NMCC Math tutor.

Sarah Lovejoy teaches FDP's (Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages), Algebra Prep, and STAR(Student Achievement in Reading) classes.  She also serves as a morning open learning center instructor and NMCC Math tutor.

Debbie Melvin is an evening open learning center instructor.

Otis Smith serves as a basic math skills class instructor.  He is also director of the Houlton Hodgdon SAD 29/70 Adult Education Program.

Sharon Smith is an evening open learning center instructor.  Sharon also serves as an English tutor and makeup exam proctor for NMCC students.

Dave Rowe is an evening open learning center instructor.

Open Learning Center hours for the Winter 2009 Semester are 8-11 a.m. and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30 p.m.  The open learning center provides learners an opportunity to work on basic skills, high school diploma completion, and GED test preparation.  For more information about how you can access the open learning center and explore your personal learning opportunities, please call Bernadette Farrar at 521-3100, ext. 3150.
